If you live in Puerto Vallarta or are just visiting, and you want to know Guadalajara, you have some routes and options to make your trip more fun.

Getting from Guadalajara to Puerto Vallarta can be a little tricky, but you have three options You can fly, take the bus or drive., They each have their advantages and disadvantages.


This option is pretty long and  fun too, it is the best option for a family trip, you can spend more time with your loved ones, but there is a big difference between the free roads and the toll roads in Mexico; the first one is that, toll roads are in much better condition than the free roads, this option is a 5 hours drive, and $500 pesos (25 USD) in tolls from Guadalajara to Puerto Vallarta.


Taking the bus is very comfortable with big seats and air conditioning the entire way, the busses leave 24 hours a day, is cheap, and you can sleep the whole trip. The price of the bus is between $585 pesos and $650 pesos, and it takes five hours to get to Guadalajara.


The flight is 45 minutes long, there are many flights from Guadalajara to Puerto Vallarta, but not all of them are direct, you must book in advance your flight, the airline with the most direct flights Aeromar, the price of the ticket it’s between $1000 and $2000 pesos.
